Hanover Action for Sustainable Living

According to the 2011 census, over 40% of households in Hanover & Elm Grove do not own a car

We live near the centre of town and we have schools, shops and the railway station within easy walking or cycling distance.

But our streets are heavily dominated by parked cars.

The HASL Streets for Sharing group aims to shift this balance and show how we could use our shared street space for a wider range of activities – children’s play, conversation, community events and art.
