Duncan Blinkhorn, Community Project Co-ordinator and his volunteers from Brighton-based charity Groundwork have set up and will now be based at the old Circus Street Market.

After collecting over 35 abandoned bicycles from Brighton Station this week – to refurbish and bring back into action – they are set-up and ready to go.

The Groundwork volunteers will also be involved in our upcoming event Love Your Bike Week at Circus Street Market from Tuesday 18th-Friday 21st February from 11am-3pm.  You can drop in with your bikes and get free help to fix them, or learn to maintain them. Anyone who has an old, unused bike can also drop it off there and it will be recycled.

Bike-related events will go on all week, culminating in The Spin, an amazing free event on Saturday 22nd February 12-4pm, featuring stunt riders, award winning performance artists, bike workshops, Dr Bike, the chance to tackle a bike assault course, entertainers and food stalls in the old market space.
