Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company (CIC) today (February 19) announced it has appointed award-winning architectural practice, Conran & Partners, as the lead consultant in the renovation of the Saltdean Lido site.

Paul Zara who heads up Conran & Partners’ Brighton Office said “Saltdean Lido is an iconic site of immense cultural value.”

Saltdean Lido CIC held a competitive tender inviting a number of companies to submit proposals.

Richard Mason, a director of Saltdean Lido CIC and local architect consultant, said: “The quality of the proposals we received was extremely high and many firms were understandably keen to get involved with the project. Conran’s expertise and passion for modernist architecture shone through and we are delighted to be able to choose a local Brighton-based practice.”

Sir Terence Conran added: “We are delighted that we have now been formally appointed by the Saltdean Lido CIC to work with them on the important job of breathing new life into this beautiful Lido.” Read the full story on The Argus website and BBC News.
