Only in Brighton Tour
A celebration of all that is unique to Brighton
Top Brighton Tour on Trip Advisor

What connects Abba and the Portuguese Revolution? Mount Everest and a supermarket in Hove? A stained wall and the genesis of a worldwide retail brand? What’s the story behind a same-sex wedding in 1923…Britain’s ‘most useless’ monarch…a certain Parisian radio station? And why is my charming Regency property damp and crumbling? Only in Brighton…

Only in Brighton is a vivid 80-minute guided walk. It is a curiously fact-filled and tongue-in-cheek look at the landmarks, past and present, that make Brighton a city like no other. For the visitor, it is an insider’s introduction; for the hardened Brightonian, a revelation and celebration. This personal tribute cuts to the heart of a unique city in all its glory, shame and muesli.

Tours will take place April-November 2014, most Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm.

Tour Guide: Ric Morris
As well as creating and running the Only in Brighton tours, Ric is Tour Development Officer and Guide Trainer for the LGBTQ History Tour of Soho with the community development organisation centred. He holds the Blue Badge in Tourist Guiding (Southern Region) – the UK’s highest professional qualification for tourist guiding – and is a Member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding.

Ric has lived in Brighton since 2007. He got the idea for Only in Brighton when he realised that the more you research serious factual information about Brighton, the more it throws up the bizarre and entertaining. His style proves that your tongue can remain firmly in your cheek whilst keenly probing the facts.

When not guiding, Ric tends not to talk very much, but he can be often found lecturing in academic English, teaching BSL and performing improvised comedy.
