HISTORIC cafe saved from demolition following mass public campaign

A huge public campaign followed news that the Pavilion gardens cafe would have to close as part of Brighton and Hove City Council plans to re-model the Pavilions Gardens.

Owner David Sewell comments “We have a huge number of loyal customers and supporters who have stood up for us and I would like to thank them.” Dome chief executive Andrew Comben denies backlash was a trigger for the change of plans, instead citing it as ‘part of the process’.
