THIS WEEK : Selma Montford: The hope that the £1bn schemes will all disappear

TALKBOARD : Step Back in Time – A History of the Argus

LATEST IN DIRECTORY : Preston and Patcham Society launches new web platform

Taking place inside the iconic lido’s grounds it will give access for the first time in many years to the general public.  This is likely to be the last opportunity to view the lido before refurbishment works start so make sure you don’t miss the chance!

During the evening events on Friday and Saturday (doors 6pm – 11.30pm) we will be showcasing over 30 different drinks from ales, lagers, ciders, wines and a signature lido cocktail with amazing live music all night.  Tickets can be purchased online or in local shops (HR Hardware & Shoebridge Butchers).  We have already sold quite a lot of tickets and have limited capacity in the grounds so please purchase in advance to avoid disappointment.

Daytime Event
The lido grounds will be open from 11am-4pm for everyone to enjoy and access.  This is the first time in many years the general public have had access to the grounds and its almost certainly going to be the last time before we close for major refurbishment works.  The day time event will be showcasing our plans for the future of the building and site, running heritage tours so you can have a peak behind the scenes of the lido, live music will be on all day, tasting sessions of local drinks, hot food, a kids corner with activities and lots more.  Entry is free although we are asking for an optional £1 donation (kids go free) to help towards the renovation costs which will be massively appreciated.
