Our Brighton Hippodrome Campaign
media release 15 July 2014

OBH’s call for the city council’s planning committee to defer the planning application for cinemas/restaurants has been backed by The Argus, in its lead editorial today (Tuesday 15 July).

‘Our Brighton Hippodrome campaigners make a compelling argument but they need to be given their chance to mak their case. Their suggestion of a six-month deferral seems sensible’.

‘The history, beauty and uniqueness of the building cannot be replaced so extra careful consideration should be given on such a project. A rejuvenated Hippodrome would help push our city’s cultural standing yet higher, not just in this country but beyond.’

Couldn’t have put it better ourselves! Thanks, Argus.
