 Sussex Police media release
9 August 2014

The 999 day, due to take place on Hove Lawns on Sunday (August 10), has been cancelled.

Due to the heavy rain and strong winds which are forecast for Sunday it has been decided it is best to cancel the day.

Inspector Richard Delacour said: “I know people will be disappointed but the weather which is forecast for tomorrow means it will be very wet. We are also expecting very strong winds and as Hove Lawns are right on the seafront it would be very exposed to the elements and could be dangerous for anyone visiting or taking part.”
