This is a unique opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to be involved in an innovative development. The Manager of Counselling & Therapeutic Services will be the Lead Practitioner in RISE’s new trauma-informed service, and will play a key role in its shaping and direction. If you have the right mix of strong therapeutic and management skills together with an open, creative vision for what can be achieved with people in distress, you could become the key person in this exciting development. The service will improve the outcomes for individuals at risk of, or surviving domestic abuse, and is well-positioned to influence practice nationally.

This is a challenging role with demanding delivery targets. The successful candidate will be hard working, organised, and have a positive attitude to change and the ability to help others to integrate it into their lives and work. As well as leading this key development, you will also oversee and ensure the effective delivery of a range of other therapeutic modalities delivered by counselling and therapeutic staff, both paid and voluntary. You will also be responsible for the day to day management of the service and contribute to the overall management of RISE, as a member of the Management Team, and will also need to actively contribute to fundraising for the ongoing development of this and other posts within the team.

Due to current funding limitations the initial contract is for a maximum of one year from appointment, ending no later than 31st December 2015. However this project is a high priority for RISE and the post-holder will take an active role, alongside the Head of Quality and Business Development, in identifying and accessing additional funding streams to ensure the ongoing sustainability and growth of the service.

This post is open to female applicants only as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

CLOSING DATE: 3 November 2014
INTERVIEW DATE: 20 November 2014

RISE is committed to following Equality and Diversity and safer recruitment practices.
On appointment all staff will be expected to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure and supply us with references.

We encourage applications from the black and minority ethnic communities as they are currently under-represented in our organization.
